Hey I have an esp f-200 and it has been good to me so far...cept for last night. I was usin my trem bar and all of a sudden when i went back to normal my gstring was way out of tune (tooo flat). I fixed it and then put my guitar away, today i took it out and the same string was way out again. What is wrong?? Is it my trem or what??? Please help cuz im 14 and this is my first floyd rose locking trem guitar ive had so anything you could think of that could help me just go ahead and say it!!

The problem with floyd rose on an ESP or Ibanez is that is has a "floating bridge" which enables you to bend up and down.
So once one string is tuned and you go to the next string the bridge is unalligned and all the strings go out of tune.
I used to have this problem on my Ibanez until someone told me you have to tune the guitar 4-5 times before you have to lock it. It was a hassle so I got a Gibson instead.

Yes, I have a Strat with Floyd Rose system and IMHO it's apain in the... well, not good. When you change strings, you have to tune them about 1/2 tone sharp so the tension compensates in the FR.

So that's basically accurate, you have to tune it 4 or 5 (or 20 or 30) times befor it gets the tension right. In my case it sometimes never does.

Too bad. I'd rather have a fixed bridge

A little trick I do with floating bridges, is to stick something under the bridge so that it doesn't float... Floyd Rose made a specific thingy, but I just use either a couple of tongue depressors/popcycle sticks or the thin side of a cassette tape.

LOL, I did the same thing. The first time I changed the strings on it I took them all off and screwed up the tension (always change one string at a time). I had it setup by a tech and it plays perfectly now but I decided then that I wasn't getting anymore floating bridges.

I love my LesPaul.
