Help with the Chorus, Please

That sounds pretty damn good to me man.

I really like the beat and you've got a great flow going there. I guess since you're asking about the chorus, I'd have to say, yeah, it doesn't quite stand out like I'd think you'd want it to.

The vocal line there works well (it gets cut so quick it's a little hard to judge), but I would want some additional elements added to the backing tracks - maybe panned wider or something - to differentiate the music of the chorus from the verse a bit more. Even just fx or samples or something, not necessarily more instruments per se. I dunno, just some thoughts. You seem to know what you're doing...hope this helps.

My bad, I forgot the demo cut faded out so quickly...bad example.

I'll give those ideas some consideration, play around with the vocals again. Thanks so much for the help and compliments.

Yer i quite liked it and i'm not a big fan of most modern rappers.
Although im a big fan of Guru. Anyway
I'd use a differant guitar part in the chorus to the verse.
maybe use of a piano vamp maybe some distortion guitar.
Theres not enough differance between the verses and choruses.
You got to change something up so either cut back on instrumentation in the verses or use more in the chorus.
Think about maybe using a military style of drums in the chorus.
you know the kind of thing all snare hits and big booming bass drums.
Maybe you know a drum major who could help with this.
I might be talikg out of my ass but thats what i think it needs.
Not so much a mix problem as an arrangement one.
I hope this helps :)

I like those ideas...I actually ended up adding different vocal tones and I think it sounds better...the production/instrumentation was not done by me, and was part of a collection of tracks whose original framework and sessions were lost, but I may be able to add some stuff myself. You didn't sound like you were talking out of your ass to me, thanks for the input.
