Hello,

I have had the Samson g-track for about a year now, I dont know a great deal about recording and so this mic suits me fine as it is pretty basic. I am at the stage now where I would like to have one mic recording the guitar, and one mic recording vocals.

My problem is that the g-track goes into the computer via usb, I need a way to attach another mic into the samson g-track so the computer picks up both. I dont have a clue about pre amps or interfaces etc, but I know something like that may solve my problem! Can anyone advise me on what to do please?

Any help would be appreciated,

Cheers,
Matt.

im a noob too for all this but someone told me a mic plugged in usb wise was not very good, but i wasnt sure exactly why he said that. but theres a big tweekz guide that shows u how to set up all that on the newbie forum, like the top post.

Firstly you'd need an interface that's what you'll plug your microphones into. But for your case with the G-Track u MIGHT b able 2 buy a 2nd 1 and c if u culd change the outputs for whatever your using. But the interface is your best bet look at M-Audio I'd say great quality. IDK much about USB mics so im not completely sure about that but like i said check into it. If you need help there's always youtube google or go to ur local music store and talk 2 them and tell them what your looking to do and hopefully they'll guide u n the right direction

Doubtful you can have 2 active USB mics plugged in recording at the same time.

Time to upgrade to an audio interface and decent mics.
