OK so I am involved with a new studio that is working on it's recording room acoustics. It is just for drums and maybe some guitar. It is fairly large with dementions of roughly 25X20X7 (hight) (these are very rough dementions). Out of a suggestion from someone else the owner surrounded the room with heavy curtains and put (thin) insulation on the cielings. It still has a terrible sound to it. It almost feels like you are under water. There is still alot of reflection. The walls are all flat (other than the curtains) and there are currently no bass traps. I do not know much at all about acoustics and could really use some help. Thanks.
