Hello friends: I have Mac OS X, Protools LE, Oxygen 8 and Yamaha S03. I want to be able to record midi tracks into my protools with either the Oxygen 8 or the Yamaha S03 but to be ableto play them back and hear them through Protools itself rather than having to hear it through my Yamaha S03 only. The problem is I will be on the road without the Yamaha S03 and would need to still hear the patches that I have programmed for each track in my song. How can I do this? Is there a way to get a soudn bank imported into Protools so that I can hear the tracks with the properly assigned patches through my Protools MBox module only? Please advise.

The answer is 'no'

If you're leaving the Yamaha behind you're leaving it's sounds behind too.

You COULD sample (track, record --- whatever term you are most comfortable with) into ProTools but that's a very time-comsuming process. You don't mention why you need to leave the Yamaha behind or why you need to take the sounds with you, but there are rack mounts and smaller units made by Yamaha and other manufacturers which have sound built into them...
