Help with m30 mixer

I recently procured a used Tascam m30 mixer and am currently in the process of figuring it out. So my question is, why can't I get a signal from my direct outs? Did I get screwed here, or is there a step here I'm missing?

I recently procured a used Tascam m30 mixer and am currently in the process of figuring it out. So my question is, why can't I get a signal from my direct outs? Did I get screwed here, or is there a step here I'm missing?

If it has one, is the direct out switch engaged?

If it is the one on ebay you just got for 239.00 . Its cause all of the insert connectors are gone. There needs to be plugs in those just like whats in the buss section.
