Hi everyone, I just bought Guitar Rig and a Lexicon Alpha desktop recordig unit so I can plug my guitar in and play through the computer, apply preset guitar sounds and record.

I am having a rought time getting the sound working well - there is serious latency and I'm not certian that I have the Guitar Rig sound in and sound out settings correct for the best results.

I can hear the guitar, the effects work but performance is generally poor.

Ant advice from you old pros would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to all in advance.

Ps

I have installed ASIO4ALL and all appears to be working properly.

If you just bought it you probably got Guitar Rig 2 and that can be used as a stand alone program or as a VST plug in.

Which ever one you have going now try the other one.

The way to try it as a stand alone program is to run it without Cubase.

The way to try it as a VST plug in is to put the Guitar Rig.dll file into your Steinberg/Cubase/VST plugins, bring up the plug in loading window and load it into Cubase.

Many thanks for the reply

I will give this a go, I also reinstalled guitar rig after I installed ASIO4ALL and I need to see how this works out. I'll drop by after I check this.

Many thanks!
