I want to use the equalizer for vocal only and do a direct connection instead of using the INSERT ( Using the INSERT create a ssssss that cannot be eliminated even with the Deesser ).
I understand that I can have the equalizer between the mixer and the amp, but I don't want to use the EQ for anything else but vocal. So this is how I do:
Mike XLR --> ART pre-amp Tube MP XLR --> Equalizer XLR --> Mixer XLR.
The 12 Db boost on the equalizer has no reaction, and the 31 frequencies bars are no change even trying to move all the way down ( -12) or all the way up (+12).
If I remove the ART tube preamp, then the 12 Db boost on the EQ works, but the frequencies still show very little difference.
I don't know what I do wrong, since no matter what the order of these add-on, any of these devices should be able to massage the sound.
Any idea would be appreciated.
