Hi all, ok I am a complete beginner here so forgive the basic question, but here we go:
Question 1: How do you open up the "example project", which it tells you to do in the ASK tutorial (The part where it's explaining The Transport) but doesn't explain how (only thing it doesn't explain). From what I see it comes up as drum, bass, guitar, piano. How do I get this example project to appear?
OK, next question may be more complex:
I'm not getting ANY sound whatsoever from Cubase. Not even the click which is set to on. When i play the virtual keyboard the bar thing jumps up as if I should be hearing something.
I followed the instructions on the ASK tutorial about setting up Audio and the Steinberg website says the same thing.
I downloaded ASIO4ALL v2 and chose that option, it says it has 2 ins and 2 outs but the 2 outs are not connected, and all are inactive.
Anyway I've tried with all the options for different drivers and it makes no difference.
My soundcard is very basic, just the built-in 1 that came with the comp. It's an 'Nvidia High Definition Audio' apparently...?
I was thinking maybe my soundcard is just too crappy? It plays normal music fine obviously but maybe it cant handle Cubase? I had FL Studio 9 before and it worked, although it was very crackly and sounded terrible...
Anyway if any1 can answer either of these 2 Q's I'd be very grateful.
Thank you
Oh, and as an add on, although not very important at this time: What soundcard/s are regarded as the best for around £100/$150? I'll need to upgrade even if my problem isn't related to the soundcard...
