If the mixer supports multitracking through the usb than yes otherwise its just the main outs your recording. why specifically protools?

The MultiMix mixers also have USB audio, which allows direct computer audio interfacing for 16-bit simultaneous stereo input and output using standard recording software.
I got this off a website seem your out of luck.

Protools generally only works with DigiDesign hardware. But, you can use it with all the other (just as capable) software out there. As far as the separate track thing, you'll have to check the literature from Alesis. I beleive the *original* usb mixers that came out *years* ago just took the master bus and converted it through the usb... but I beleive the newer usb mixers have separate tracks... I posted a link in your other thread too. Check that out/

The answer is it depends. Yes, you can send 10 channels to your DAW, But, you only have 4 mic inputs, so only 4 mics. You also have 4 line inputs. You can use these as seperate channels to the DAW, but the input must be line level. That means mics would have to go through a preamp first. Guitars would also require a preamp or a line out from an amp.

the only thing i can add to what everyone else has replied is that this mixer is only got 4 xlr and 4 pres. if you are looking to buy i would go with the 16 channel. it has 8 xlr and 8 pres.
