I just purchased the M-Audio MobilePre Amp, and I was trying to reocrd into Cool Edit. The only thing that picks up and records are the vocals fromt the PreAmp. Before I hooked up the PreAmp I could record into Cool Edit using, Reason, my keyboard, and Cds. Now I when I go to record anything all I get is a flat blue line. I have checked all volumes, on reason, cool edit and my operating system. Can someone please help me figure out how to either rewire reason or configure Cool Edit for picking up all audio output.

It sounds like when you set up the mobile pre, it de-selected all your other sound input in the Cool-Edit program. You'll have to change drivers if you want to be able to record from multiple sources and make sure all your inputs are active devices within cool edit. I don't have that program, so I'm not sure how you do it. For a driver, the generic ASIO multimedia driver should allow multiple inputs. However, the mobilepre may not function optimally with this driver enabled.

Ummm....ASIO in Cool Edit?

Ummm....ASIO in Cool Edit? I don't believe so.

Sounds more like a Cool Edit configuration or interface software issue.

I use Delta Control panel with Adobe Audition 1.5. You need to configure both applications properly or recording/playback....make sure midi, SPDIF and the analog ins are all set up.

Since you CAN record vox, I assume you have the analog in's configured properly. Yes?
