Ken is right. What I do is use Fostex's free Wavmanager program (available on their site) and a card reader. I've never done it, but I assume the same is possible using a usb cable. I just find it easier to carry a card around rather than the mr8, as I track in one room, and mix in another. I believe you need WavManager to export individual mono tracks from the mr8.
WavManager imports the individual tracks to my computer, and then in n-Tracks, use the "import wav file" to get them into a song. Works very well, and by using wavmanager, your tracks always line up perfectly. Then if you want, you can mix down those tracks to a mono 16 bit wav (just be sure to name it tr01.wav) and import it back to the mr8 in order to record more tracks. Repeat as needed, bake until golden brown.
