Hi - I just picked up these units the other day. I think I have a pretty good grasp on the basics, and have been able to do everything I've needed to without much trouble. However, I CAN'T get tap tempo to work. I know these are (were?) popular and that tap tempo is NOT an obscure function, but I'm stymied.
I'm trying to use the Control pedal on the FC200 for tap tempo. On the FC200 I have the Control pedal set to controller 80, latch type (on). On the GP100 patch, in the Assign 2 settings, I have:
Target=DD Tempo In
Min/Max (On/Off, but I think I've tried every combination)
Source = MIDI Ctl 80
Mode - Normal (but I've tried Toggle)
In the Utility section of the GP100 I have the control pedal set to Latch.
But, I can't alter the tempo with the Control pedal.
If someone would be kind enough to let me know what I'm doing wrong, I'd really appreciate it.
I have a couple FS-5U switches as well, so if it's easier to get one of these functioning as tap tempo that would be fine too. But it seems like what I'm doing should be working....
