Hi guys.. Im kind of new here and I want help :)
I dont know if im at the right place or not but if u can help me in anyway, even its a little link or something, ill be happy ;)

the problem lays here, we are a group of ppl and we play pc games ;)
we use a voice program called ventrilo and in that program you cant record (we got the elder version, the new one just sux) and we want to record what we say in that program.
well so far it seems kind of simple but the problem is that we dont want to include the game sound, the game is QuakeWorld.

We have had a third party pc that was just connected to the ventrilo for recording but that pc just died (RIP) so what can I do? :)
or if u cant help me can u atleast try to refere me to another forum or anything??

Does ventrilo recognize multiple sound cards? That could be one way around it, like if you had an onboard sound card your voice comms software could be running on that, and those outputs could go to your recorder. Then your game sound could be on the PCI soundcard. Then maybe you could 'Y' the output of the onboard/voice comms to both your recorder and the input of your PCI card to be able to hear game and voice comms and record it isolated at the same time. But if you had to do the audio capturing at the same time on that PC, I doubt if it would work, but I also wonder how well your game would run with all those processes.

Honestly, Teamspeak wins on this one, as you can record directly to a file from it, and it will not have audio from your soundcard.
