Help... (Please?)

This is *probably* not the best Forum to ask this question in... But I DO have a Fostex VF [something-or-other], 'n I'm REALLY new to the Board (actually, recording in general)... So...

My Question:
I bought a Berringer mixer... I do not have a CLUE as to what all those knobs 'n buttons do... (I DID get it hooked up, though...) The {quote) Users Guide {unquote} has proven to be COMPLETELY useless... Their Web Site even more so...

Is there a Site somewhere that explains what all that sh*t does 'n how to use it?

I really am ignorant about this stuff (MY OATH! It took me the better part of an afternoon to get the Volume to work.)

ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.
 
What exactly are you using the mixer for? What model mixer did you get?
 
I don't understand what you are using the mixer for, the VF's have inputs for guitars and mics right on it, you don't necessarily have to go through a mixer first. Do you know what a mixer does and just not know how to use it or set it up? Mackie's Web Site has good diagrams on how to set up mixers in their downloadable manuals. Just look for a mixer that best resembles yours. Tell me what you need the mixer for and I could help point you in the direction you need to be going.
