I get this problem very often. I think it happens when the disk is almost full. It would seem that the problem is with the file system. I believe the way the MR-8 manages the files on the disks is not fully compatable with the windows opperating system.
Bouncing Tracks - and ReFormating then restoring backup copies seems to solve the problem. I think it has something to do with file fragmentation!
HERE THAT FOSTEX? Look into file fragmentation and how your memory pointers are configured.
