Sticks are frangible. They're supposed to break, so your cymbals and heads and rims don't.

When you all learn how to play properly you will be able to move to a 7a and save alot of money and wear on your shit.:D
You can't get the sound I want by lightly tapping on the drum head with a tiny stick. It just doesn't happen.

I use 7A's to get roast beef out from between my teeth.

hahaha. 7a's are good for some things, but for most of what i play, a 5a AT LEAST is pretty much a necessity. technique does play a role in this as well, but for the most part, you aren't going to get huge sounding rock drums tapping along with a 7a.

I do, but my biggest tom is 13". 7As probably wouldn't do on a 16 or 18 with Pinstripes.

I got some 5As and I think they're what I was looking for, though they've already got dents in them and I've only used them for about an hour...
