hehe so few with the sunburst vote. I definatly agree with Beef Drippings - get a classy pickguard to go with the one you choose. Strats just kick @ss with custom pickguards.
Just remember, maple fingerboards are a much more problematic proposition for future fret maintenance. If you wear frets with any regularity, you really should get a rosewood fingerboard. Dressing a maple board will cost 10-25% more (it takes a lot of time to protect the finish), and refrets are $150-$300 more. So, if YOU like them both about the same, then get the rosewood board just because it will save you a lot of money in the future.
And of course, the REAL test is to go and play them both and figure out which one SOUNDS better, because they will not be the same.
You should buy the one im selling....Fender mex-made strat, olympic white, maple fretboard, antiquie white mother of pearl pickguard, and texas special pickups.
Great playing and looking guitar.
$250.
(it may be spoken for already...but I don't have any money in my hand yet so it's up for grabs

Uh oh... this clod is probably going to to send you a negative rep point and a nasty comment for straying from *exactly* what he wants, like he did to me.
