HELP: Linkwitz mod/Panasonic Elements

Hey,

I just bought a bunch of Panasonic 61b's with which to make some small mics and I was wondering if there is any point in doing the Linkwitz mod if I'm NOT going to run them through a battery box to line-in on my MD recorder (i.e., plug-in-power all the way!).
