Help in configuring Delta 1010 to CEP / Adobe Audition...

Hey guys, I finally was able to install my Delta 1010's card in my PC yesterday along with the new/updated drivers. I am running CEP (well I've not actually used it yet. :( )

I guess my question is this: Would someone be able to take some time and help me "configure" these two together so that I can get started?

I have the manual for the Delta, but I don't have anything on the CEP except the help section of the software. (I'm not real big on reading manuals and files. :( )

I also have the Adobe audition update/upgrade that I've not installed yet as well.......I guess I need to do that.

Any help would be great as I'd really like to get started recording as soon as possible......especially posting some tracks for the "Rumble Tracks"!! :D

Hi Rick.

Maybe you should try "Computer Recording and Soundcards" or "Cool Edit Pro Forum"..

What is your problem exactly..?
 
Well in a nut shell, I have no idea what I'm doing! :) :(

I guess I just need to be able to go into both items and make sure that they are linked together so that when I plug an instrument in to the Delta, it shows up on the CEP. It looks like there's a bunch of settings that have to be done as well.....like bit rates and stuff that I know nothing about.

Did that make any sense? :o

First make sure you can get signals into the card. Use the Delta Control Panel's VUs and watch the levels as you play/sing or whatever. If that works, then the next thing is to choose the correct sound device in CEP. Just go to Settings, Devices (I think,) and choose your Delta board from the list. Hit F10 to watch the VU meters in CEP. That's the basics. All the stuff about bit rates, etc. you can read about in the CEP help.
