the sustain pedal on my 11 year old Ensoniq mr 76 doesn't work. It used to work just fine. Please someone, anyone help me set up my keyboard so that the sustain pedal will work and sustain. thanks, EVT

Armistice... no, I'm not 100 % sure that the sustain pedal is not actually broken. other than buying a new pedal , how can I check my existing pedal to to determine if that is the problem ?

Armistice.... I just plugged a brand new pedal into the Ensoniq [ forgot that I had an extra pedal ] nothing, same problem... no sustain. Should I try and restore original " factory settings " as a way to undo any setting adjustments that I may have made and which have somehow caused the sustain feature to be disengaged ?

thanks Arcaxis... I have that same owners manual , I've read that page many times over these past few days trying to figure out the problem. I've also checked and re-checked that I'm plugging into the correct jack .... all is good there.....still no sustain. However, I 'm thinking that the problem might be related to the jack.... a loose jack, soldered connection may have broken. I'm taking it to be checked. If that isn't the problem it may be a software problem and that is when things can get expensive for a 11 year old keyboard.... Any other thoughts or ideas would be most welcomed.

Plugging into the correct input jack?
I have an Ensoniq KS32 that has 2-pedal input jacks.
