Help choosing a mic for this aplication

This sounds right. I did test out the Earthworks TC20. It is a GREAT mic. You definitely get a "being right there in the room" natural sound; the high end is smooth too. I'm keeping it. It does bring the drawbacks of an omni into play, though. I think an RE20 or M88TG is my next purchase. You can't go wrong having those in the locker anyway. Then I'll probably switch between the TC20 and the dynamic mic depending on the room. Good room = TC20, bad room = RE20 or M88. Thanks Chessrock.
