Hi im not to good with hardware but i need some help on purchasing a mic & accessories for a home studio which im wanting to set up within the next few weeks. i have a really low budget and was looking at either getting the Sontronics STC 2 or the new sE Electronics X1 which comes in a bundle with reflection filter and pop sheild. as the X1 was only released around december time, i carn't seem to find any reviews on the mic, appart from suppliers saying it is hand crafted and beats all other mics at and around its price range. as it comes with the reflection filter im sort of wanting to get this anaversery bundle. also im wanting to get a cheep shock susspention mount, stand, cables and a usb pre-amp. all advise would be much appreciated.

nah, im gonna be ordering them off the net. just think its stupid that SE ELECTRONICS aint put much info up about the new X1, considering its an aniversery product

These Look nice

Sexy looking mics by Sontronics.. I think they are meant to be a good one of the cheap companies.. I bought an SE 2200, the old one that was still OEM and didn't think much of it, got Studio Projects B1 instead and I think its 10 times better.. I would say go with Sontronics but read review from pro's?

Buy from a dealer like Guitarcenter...then you can bargain with them to throw in a chord and maybe a shockmount...it wouldnt hurt though to go for a nicer mic...almost every choice you can make is better than buying chinese made mics.

yea the STC 2 looks sweet, and the reviews for it seem good, i was gonna get that but once the x1 came out i held back beacuse it being hand made quality. found some1 who bought one so asked him and waitn for reply. iv searched on google for a review on the x1 but crnt find one anywhere, they all say the same bout it bein hand made and that, and thats it, no hands on reviews.
