I recently got a new setup, but its not going very smoothly. I bought myself an M-Audio Firewire Solo, a MXL V69 Mogami edition and an MXL ps-69.

I've loaded all the driver and such, when I turn on the program and all the set up I can see the mic working through the program, but it only works on the LEFT side. The right side does not record. When I put in my headphones, I also cant hear my micorphone.

Now, when I open acid pro. I can't record what so ever, I do have acid pro 7.0 and it is a big step from 3.0 that I used when it first came out (years ago)

can someone tell me what I need to do just to record? I would be glad to pay a little through paypal as appreciation to anyone who can get me going to the right direction!

It sounds like acid is defaulting to record in stereo but since you have only one input you are only getting one channel, in this case the left channel

Next to the arm for record button on the track is a button that controls the inputs, you need to click on this and select mono (single channel) recording and this will stop the problem you describe.
Also in the menu that this button brings up will be the option to turn on input monitoring which will allow you to hear your mic through the headphones
