I am totally new, and would like to record accoustic guitar vocals bass and drums.
I have an alesis 8 track multimix usb mixer, zoom drum and bass machine sure M58 mic, zoom accoustic guitar effects processor, 2 year old pc with cubase LE and n track loaded.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello, and welcome Jukes. What specifically are you wanting advice on? Sounds likje you've got enought tools to accomplish quite a lot.

Seem to get low levels on the mic and guitar which are connected to the single line ins on the mixer, the drum machine is connected to the 2 track and works fine.

Both guitar and mic should be boosted by a pre-amp before getting to "tape". The mic should be attached to say, channel 1 at the channel input. Then raise the slider to "0", then turn the trim/gain/input knob up until you get meters at about -6db. Hope that makes sense. Your problem sounds like a "gain structure" issue. Do a little research on this topic and pretty soon you'll be blowin' yer head off with recordable signal.
