I made a post a few days ago, and got some suggestions, based on that, does anyone have an opinion on this card, also if anyone could tell me what cables and such that i would need to hook up a mixer and synth to it, that would be greatly appreciated.

From all the opinions I've heard on this board, the 1010 is a great interface.

What kind of mixer/synth are you going to hook into it?

If you need 10 in/outs then this card will be hard to beat for the price. But if you can get by with 4 in/outs the Delta 44 and Delta 66 are better cards--and with 2 ins/outs so is the EMU 1212.

i see the one has sliders, which i would think would bring about some intresting ways of actually "playing" it

any opinion these would be appreciated as well.

Basically im just looking to set up a small basic "recording studio" i just want to be able to run my microkorg ( yes im a noob) thru either one of these mixers, and be able to send that data through the sound card and record directly onto the computer if that makes any sense? I just want to be sure im setting all this up correctly, have all the necessary parts to make it work.. i assume ill need certain cables but i dont know which ones. im sure this is fairly simple for anyone who knows about this so any help is appreciated

I would stick with the Soundcraft and one of the soundcards mentioned above. You would use 1/4" TRS balanced cables from the L/R line-outs of the Korg into the L/R line-ins of the sound card. You will also ned some type of recording software like N-Tracks.
