Heads for headphone storage

Ok, I guess this is as good a place as any for this thread...

Somewhere around here I recently saw a photo of someone's studio, and they had these glass or plastic head-shaped things that they stored their headphones on. Does anyone know who's studio that was or where to get those heads? Thanks!

They're glass... Pier One Imports was carrying them about a year and a half ago......

They've got them on the Pier One website for $15.

Do a search at Pier One for "glass heads".
 
Ok, this was just flat-out awesome...

I walk into Pier 1 and look arround for a little while but don't see them. So I walk up to one of the employees...

Me: Hi! I'm looking for something that I saw on your website, but I'm not sure if you have it here. They're these glass heads.

She just looks at me for a few seconds like I've lost my mind. Then...

Her: OH yeah!!! we just got a few of those in!

She brings one out and I confirm that it's the right thing.

Her: Is there anything else you need?

Me: Yes, two more.

Her: You want......three.....of these things???

Me: Yes, do you have two more?

Her: Um..........................yeah........let me go get them

She beings ringing them up on the register and then...

Her: So.......umm.....why are you buying three glass heads?

After the explanation, it was all cool, but it was downright hillarious for me up until that point. She looked like she thought I was a psycho or something.

Anyway.....
 
I seem to recall, many years ago, that my mother used to have a couple of these made out of styrofoam for wigs. I wonder if you could still get ahold of some where they sell wigs?
 
The styrofoam would be good for wigs because I guess you could pin the wig to the head if you wanted to. I just think they would be a bit too light...

You missed out on a prime opportunity to mess with people's heads. You should have gone into extreme detail how they are replacement heads for Mary, your animated synthetic, lifesize girlfriend, as the other night was a little rough and you accidentially behead her while she was bent out the window holding a leather whip.

Take the table where you plan to place them.
Drill some 1 inch holes in the table.
Place the heads over the holes.
Mount colored lights or a black light under the table.
The heads now glow from inside.
Cool assed shit.
I must have several.


A head shaped lava lamp would be cool too.

LOL .. that's the kind of thing I'd love to do... mess with theri heads a little.

Like when I was on line at the fabric store the other day getting like 10 yards of red burlap cut. Some older lady behind me asks "what on earth do you need 10 yards of red burlap for"... I look her in the eye and say .. "so the blood won't show" :)
Hard to keep a straight face on that one .. lol
Yea... I cleared it all up before she called the police.. but for a minute there it was priceless :)
