"headphone splitter"

Hi - Is there a simple (inexpensive) way to plug 2 different headphones into the same jack in my mixer? My concern is that they may have different efficiency & I might need some sort of volume control. Thanks.

The best method is to buy a headphone amp. Many models are available for < $50 that drive up to 4 sets of phones

Agree with jaygee, but if you're nearly broke there are headphone splitters with separate volume controls that are almost free. I got one for about about five dollars. Stopped working after two days of use, so yes, go with jaygee's advice on this one

You can (or used to be able to) get a 1/4" TRS male to double TRS female "Y" at Rat Shack. No volume control, though.

I have one and never use it.
Headphone amps are really cheap though and I'm thinking that a person could come up with a number of uses for one.

I have a couple or more, never use them for headphones, but they are cheap, compact and come in handy occasionally.
