first off...piercing and sound qualities to make you "wince" MIGHT be the intended. No flower arragnement there..
You might have misused the word "unpleasant" ?? and might consider other alternatives.

Lastly..there is NO clipping. It is just the loudest MP3 you have ever witnessed. Try turning down whatever needs be, in you signal chain, and you will reveal nothing but pure guitar bliss.. ;)

Seriously..no clipping (although I did "hard-limit" it more than you might think)

yo McClippity Clip, I think it may be you who needs to find an alternative to mixing with them headphones! :eek:

if you make a clip SO LOUD that I have to LOWER my speaker volume, there's a chance it will have the total opposite effect than what you intended, and be heard at a much LOWER volume than any of the other clips around it.. so I'm saying I had to listen to it at a LOWER volume than everyone elses..


if this was intended than MISSION ACCOMPLISHED HOMEBOY! :D :D :D You made the loudest mix heard at the lowest volume! :p :D


how'd you like my alternative?! :D :D

Besides...If I can't blow your speakers and have dusty speaker cone cardboard flying across the room, how good would the clip have been anyway?? ...probably not that good. Needs equipment damage to validate. (think P. Townsend)

I'm going for the tweaters first... then I'll smack your sub-woofer where it hurts.

I'll be blunt, the bar seems like it's getting lower instead of higher.. maybe you could pick something a little easier to play since I've heard Heartbreaker played many many times note for note or even more notes than the original.. using less notes won't really help you much here! :eek: unless you're just sharing.. :p

I tried to get the sizzle post production with some low pass and a mid range hump, only went so far.

Yer clip hinted at some serious finger action but was pretty washed out in effects so it was hard to hear anything clearly. Cool tapestry of mayhem tho.

I think a head cuting contest usually has a clear winner.

But It might not be the case that Metal, David, and anyone else I may have missed or haven't queued up yet, won't be posting enough back and forth so DavidK has my vote so far.
