I have finally gotten a chance to listen through all these links. I must say, some excellent playing all around. metalhead28, you have some serious chops. Very speedy, with a lot of good notes. mixmkr, you are right up there with him. BSabbath, you are an awesome one simply by name, let alone by the sounds you have displayed. Tim Lawler, wow. How does one comment on that? SnakeDog5050, your music is some of the most entertaining I have heard on here. Doug H, that is a great tone, and some good playing. Very good. And to those I have missed so far, sorry. I will listen, and get back later. Hopefully I can play something new soon, insted of editing an old peice down. This is an interesting "contest" and is great fun.

Robert.

I'll hit this tomorrowish, until then have a good weekend!

metalhead, davidk, and mixmkr,......i bow before your electried technical prowess.

timothy lawler, fkn'in beautiful man.

ok, i can't remember all the names......but good job to everyone. oh, and that violin thing was pretty fkd up. nice job to everyone. let the heads roll.

oh yea, doug h, that amp sounds very familiar. what is it?

Hey man...thanks. Where is yours?

My magic was watching a video of EVH someone posted, and trying to copy something he did. Now, if I only knew what notes to play, it might help.....

OK boys:

I have tried to be patient.

I have tried to be nice.

I have tried to be modest.

It's quite obvious now that I must lay down the law and show you fellas how to do this properly. Yes, even on my lil sissy violin. I'm sorry, but someone has to do it.

I even put in a famous lil quotation just for Sam/Sabbath so he may study my greatness and learn from the master. :D

I thought my man metalhead28 or our most humble professional David K would have at least posted some comments about my comments last night.. no biggy though! just thought I'd take the direct approach about what I was thinking... I guess the competition part of this is over for me..

Dont worry Sam, I am just behind inlistening and commenting. As usual it's smoking stuff and I think you get the most notes in per square inch! ;)
I am just catching up with all of these, been working at the Opera a lot lately...

I have one comment for DavidK, metalhead28, Dogman and the rest of you and your metal-strung aberrations.

DIE! DIE! DIE!! - the Dogman remix.

The conservative version for the fearful (now with no distortion):
Die-die-die.

Sorry Tim...I caught you cheating. That is not really an acoustic you are playing. After analyzing it on my new Spectrogram 1500, it sounds like this....Tim's real Sound
You are really a MetalHead, and have been docked 20 points....

Ha! Even better... tbe Die-die-die Dogman remix! What the hell did you do to it? I'm gonna use that one as my official version.

Tim

bad tone :(

the acoustic stuff was nice... but this fingerpicking stuff makes me think it is legal to whip out my banjer! :D :D

HAND ME MY ASS!

I'm waiting fellas? :p :p :p :p

nice stuff David & Tim

Wow, there are some great players here - nice stuff everyone. I thought I'd give this a go, any excuse for some lead noodling :D I hit cycle record on Cubase and did 8 improvisations all following a similar theme. I couldn't pick just one, so I randomly selected 3:-

Number 1

Number 2

Number 3

They are exactly as I recorded them, all I did to them was normalize them. Here's what I used to record them:-

Les Paul Studio-->Korg AX1500G-->M-Audio DMP3-->M-Audio Audiophile 192-->Cubase SL3

:)

...

Hey thought I'd add my two cents worth. I recorded this track about five years ago when I was still at the age that I wanted to be the next Steve Vai. Let me know what you all reckon. Cheers
