I cant believe midi is this hard? I have this studiologic cmk 149 keyboard that Im not even sure that it works! I have it hooked into a sound blaster pci 512, just threw the game port. Now what I dont understand is really if Im config'n the correct way! Now if Im using it say "fm7 or Pro 52" I should go into midi settings, and do what "set it as a in or a out"? Im assuming a in! Either way I get no function! Is there a midi app that is straight forward to just get going into the right direction! Shit I make pretty good recordings as far as my live instruments go I just want to experiment keys and make fruityloops maybe a little better!

I'm sorry, but I can't get your question clearly :o

Can you explain what's your goal ? What application do you use for MIDI ? What is fm7 ? Pro52 ? and where did you set it (keyboard / PC) ? Take it step by step, and maybe we can help you out :)

The FM7 and Pro52 are virtual instruments James.
He should be able to simply use a midi keyboard to trigger the sounds on these modules. You should be able to view the data in and out in your transport to see if its talking.

For reason this keyboard "cmk-149" just doesnt get work thru the sound card, I just bought a Midi sport USB and it finds it prefectly. Everything works properly. I just can get this keyboard thru the sound card. Any reason why? All I really want to use was to use this keyboard with fm7 pro-52 is this possible? 98 OS, Im using this Midisport from friend from a local vendor, and I dont really want to buy it. He's a personal friend that own the store so he's kind of lending me the unit. How should I configure the keyboard to work with the sound card?
