I tried fattening out the guitar tone more but it's still lacking something, maybe too much mids used on the eqs although I did cut them overall at the end. As I said I tried haha, but still slowly getting there.

The bass is still MIDI Guitar Pro with Guitar Rig 3 and drums DFHS 2.0. Yeah they are sounding a little dry... one day I'll get a real drummer to sort them out but for now this is all I've got.

Have a listen and post a comment if you want, maybe someone could pick out the right frequencies on the guitar 'cos I really don't know the technical side of it all.

Sounds great man, but as you said the drums are a little dry... but to add space you just need to add more room, with Superior 2.0 you can adjust it easily adding the Mid/Far Ambient. I would put a little down the hit hat.

I'm really diggin this one. I think the snare sounds kind of machine gunny when it rolls. Try some velocity adjustment. The guitar tone is really good. In the little low-stringed progressive part, there are a few string mutes that give off those little high pitched "teek" sounds. Maybe scope them out in the audio and cut them with volume automation. Really awesome song. I like Progressive Metal.

The only thing that ruined it for me was naming it Pigantic Genis 2010 :laughings:
 
Thanks for the comments, I completely forgot about the ambience mics. I think I actually turned them all off ages ago haha.

About the velocities; I think I need to read into them further as I've tried messing about with them but it seems to vary them on it's own. Maybe I should turn off auto velocity and adjust them myself?
 
I like. Guitar Rig has come a long way. I've been looking at GR 4 lately.
Any particular presets or all designs of your own?

I can picture a Mars Volta or maybe Karnivool kind of singer on this, personally.
