Hello,

If anybody is interested, I have a few songs up at PureVolume. The link is

www.purevolume.com/starboardgreen

Any comments or criticisms regarding the songs are welcome. I'm not really looking for comments on the recording quality as these are just reference demos that will be re-recorded in a "real" studio.

By the way, the song "When Love's True" is just a short intro thing that's supposed to lead into the song "Please", but here they are two separate tracks. Something to keep in mind when listening to their respective structures.

Feel free to send me a link to any of your stuff and I'd be happy to lend a critical ear.

Thanks,
Brad

Did I say something wrong in my post? Whats a guy gotta do ta get a review 'round here? Perhaps I just posted it at a bad time (late last night).

Bump!

I'm having problems with pure volume opening on this pc (I am at work and it's a government pc.....). I will try again when I get home.

I tried also, but when I clicked on the "listen" link...nothing happened

Hey guys,

I don't know if the site was down or what, but I just checked it out and it seems to be working now - but you should know that you just have to click the song title and it should start playing. They actually show a "pause" sign instead of a "play" sign when the music is playing - kind of confusing.

Hope it works for you this time.

Thanks,
Brad

Could somebody please review a song or two of mine? I realize that something must not have been working on the site, but I've checked it since then and everything seems to be ok. Don't want to beg....

Remember, I will gladly review anything you want me to listen to. I'm a damned good musician and will give you "sound" advice (horrible pun, I know).

thanks,
Brad

It may have checked out on your system, but that doesn't mean it works on everyone else's. Just for reference, PureVolume tries to use their own plugin media player thing, which can always cause problems, especially with people who don't use Internet Explorer. If you want more people to be able to listen to your work, then switch to a different service, like Nowhere Radio or SoundClick.

I listened to tracks 1 and 3. Not my cup of tea, but they are fun kind of songs. Kind of like The Beatles meet The Beach Boys and trip over Pink Floyd. The only thing missing is a nice overly reverbed electric guitar solo.

I would lose the drone note in the beginning of Please. It's very annoying It's very annoying It's very annoying It's very annoyingIt's very annoying It's very annoying It's very annoying It's very annoying..........ahhemm you get the idea. :D

I was also kind of shocked with the Please get the fuck out of my life line. Hmmmm swearing just doesn't fit in there. Maybe change fuck to hell. I don't know, just didn't sit right with me. Should be some pretty good tunes if produced properly. Oh, and find a drummer.
