Has Something Happened To AKG?

I was looking to purchase an AKG c451b and a c414 in the uk, i can't find them in any of the shops and any on line shops are all out of stock. Has something happened to AKG or is it a problem with the uk importer?

AKG is introducing two new models of the 414, so I suspect that dealers have blown out their old stock and are waiting to order till the new 414's are shipping. Don't know about the 451's.

Just looking at the Senheiser range of mics, anything that will compare to the AKG's?

There are a bunch of C414s on ebay right now. Several with BIN prices under £350.
