I did another collab with the Father in Law, this tunes features my mother in-law, my wife and my 3 year old son.

Kinda a quirky song about when Neil Young just about chopped his finger off making ham sandwhiches. Tried to make it kinda sound like "tusk"

I used the wrong snare IMO for the tune, was a tightly tuned snare, should have used something with some more fat in it, so I tried to make it work as best as possible, I think I should use a sample instead though, just have to learn how to do that

Any comments on the mix would be appriciated

remix

Ok I pulled some reverb off of everything and brought the vox upfront

I've been doodling with the master on this one especially with the compression. I normally go around 30 to 300 for attack and release on the low end, this time I went more, I tried to get it to pump with the song a bit and ended up around 100, 500 release, does that sound like too much. Also I went hotter on the mix peaking around -.1dbfs, but it sounds distorted in media player? Have I compressed it too slow or does media player play tunes too hot?

Funny tune. I am hungry now.

You definitely got that tusk feel going on. Mix sounds nice and clear on the little jbl's I have here at work.

Very cool!
Mix sounds very good and I quite like the snare sound. Nice guitar work. Song's got a very catchy hookline. Nice one!

I could use a bit more vocals - I found I had to strain to hear the words the first time through ( I listened a couple times). Rest of mix is great, love the lead work and the outro (wink wink)...
Fun tune - never knew about the ham sandwiches before.:D:cool::D
