What is the best valued half-stack available?
I don't think you can beat this one at the price I paid for it:

The 4x12" cab is pretty serious, heavy-duty 3/4" plywood throughout, with Eminence speakers. The matching V-50H head is very basic, but serviceable, a PCB-based 2xEL34 hybrid (solid-state rectification, tube amplification) intended for use with outboard effects, but still having a boost channel and reverb controlled with supplied footswitch.

I still see the cabs for around $375 or so new on sale, promoted as "Best Buy" speakers, but haven't seen the head in a while.

I got this rig new on sale last March at GC for $498, total, a week after I got the pictured ash AmStd Telecaster new w/hardshell case for $429. Very sexy-looking outfit at the price.

Nice set up!

Every time I click on a Netcolony link to view a picture, though, I get a dozen annoying pop up ads.

For under $1000 total for everything in the picture, yeah!:D I shop _hard_, brother! Now, if I just had the opportunity to play out and get to see what this stuff sounds like onstage...

I never see popups as I run the freeware POW! program that will kill them. Download it at:

You just add all the popups as they come up and you never see them again. There may be other programs that are better, I dunno, but this one was recommended and I tried it. It saves a ton of annoyance.
