Hi again Homereckers™!

Well, kind of. I basically fulfilled a long-running fantasy of mine by recording a song of his, with him singing and playing acoustic guitar in it. I'm playing drums, bass, keys and another acoustic guitar part. See my website, Llarion's Lair for details and streams! Go to http://www.llarion.com and hit the first link in the news section, it's in my "Stupid Recording Studio Tricks" section.

Baby, I Love Your Way...

Whattya think?

Leave me a guestbook message while you're there, too!

that was due to the fact that your dog was licking your balls. loser.

This is pretty cool! Probably pretty hard to match (it sounded like there were a few tiny timing problems during the first chorus) since he is just strumming -- ah, but that is real minor. This is really cool and you did a great job of getting it to all sound like there is an actual band on stage!

:D

From the website:

OK, I had just the BEST time today! I'm trying to learn my way around my new Roland V-Drums, and I thought I'd fulfill a minor fantasy of mine. You may not know this, but I have a relatively famous relative; my mother's first cousin (I guess that makes him my second cousin?) John Regan is Peter Frampton's bassist, and has been with him for over 20 years now. Well, I've always wanted to jam with the Frampton band, ever since the 70s. Well, through the miracle of technology, I got to.

The 1994 eponymous release, Peter Frampton, while viciously panned by the Allmusic gang, is one of my favorites, and it was remastered and re-released in 2000 with 5 bonus tracks. These tracks are Peter in some club in Japan with just his acoustic guitar. Well, I just imported one of the tracks into my D1600, and played a drum part, bass part, Rhodes part, and acoustic rhythm guitar part along with it, and mixed it down. WHAT TOTAL FUN!!! The coolest part is that I'm doing two others and I'm going to send it to him. Maybe I can be a roadie or something. :)

Not to rain on your parade, but you did not record a song of his with him singing and playing accoustic guitar.

Frampton recorded a song where he was singing and playing accoustic guitar.

You added tracks to it.

Pretty much looks like a shameless trick to get your web counter clicking, and maybe sell a CD or two.

I'm not trying to be a dick, or anything... but I gotta call 'em as I see 'em.

Well, I suppose that would be a more accurate phrasing; I added tracks to an existing recording. Thanks for the English lesson. ;) As to the rest, I don't need shameless tricks to sell CDs, and that was not my intent here. My own music is radically different than Mr. Frampton's, but I imagine you didn't bother to try and find that out. You probably just assumed that because you haven't seen me before, I must be a new poster to this forum, and I'm just Spam™ bombing. Note the post count, and realize they are virtually ALL this forum. I'm not here often, but when I am, I spend lots of time listening to and commenting on the fine work that most of the forum members produce. Ask some of the regulars.

Ahh, gotta love those 3-post anons. That was really funny, did you write that? For your edification, that would work fine, if I had a dog, but I don't. I have 4 cats. But, your mother stood in quite nicely in the ball licking department, even if her tongue was a little rough. You may not recognize her when you get home, I shaved her back.

came out great..

I must admit that you did make it sound like you actually recorded with him, but you just added to a pre-recorded song.. I have no problem with it, but I can understand why Doug bought it up..

either way it sounds great..
