Ps:...

To me, they're more than recordings or hacked classics,... they're the soundtrack of my life!

Y'know, for better or worse, that's the bottom line!  ;)

Most of you know how time consuming it is to encode mp3s and post them to the web,.... and I have like 167 covers posted already! That's a major chunk of time posting, not to mention hours of listening!! It's a real committment,... but the they're more than recordings or hacked classics,...

they're the soundtrack of my life!

Y'know, for better or worse, that's the truth & bottom line!  ;)

You're having fun with this...right? That's all that matters :D

Yes, no doubt! It's all for fun! I keep myself very amused!

It's also a kick if/when other people listen & like it, fwiw. (Even if they hate it, as long as they listened is fine with me). I know much of my best archive stuff is hacked, and yet I never tire of it.  ;)

Of course, I had a blast playing and recording these tunz over the years. I think that it's all for fun is plain as day in the sound. YMMV.

More yet to come! Thanx again! ;)

Behind the Wall of Sleep!
Recorded on 10/03/97 live-to-stereo onto VHS-Hifi. Just a 'hacked' jam by 'Loud and Proud'!
This one's particularly hacked, but 'hack' is in the title of the thread! ;)

I enjoy...I realize you don't need a critique, or anything. I just get the impression you are having fun sharing, and that's cool. I love hearing different takes on tunes..some way over the top produced, and some really stripped down. :D

I take whatever listens and comments I can get, be they critiques or otherwise.

Critiques are welcome as any other spontaneous comments. I just don't ask for them, specifically. Many of my archive cuts are run-throughs or one-offs, with a definite jagged edge in the playing and production. However, when I 'produce' a serious peice, I'm quite confident in my mixing skillz. (Yo!)

You wanna sample many 'produced' pieces, scan my page or just ask. I've got many recordings on many formats from over 25 years of home rec'ing. In a certain sense, I think my recordings prove I still sound basically the same as 25 years ago. Same voice, same playing, but mostly the production has improved. (Talent-wise I'm a set commodity by now, dammit!) Heh, heh, heh.

I hear these mixes for what they are,... heinous mistakes, warts & all!

Still dammit, it's fun! (YMMV)  ;)

PS: Dang, you're quick on the uptake!!
