i have an ibanez performance acoustic, now this guitar of mine has been with me since i was 18, and now i'm 24... i love this guitar and last night i even told my girlfriend if she ever came between me and the guitar again, it's over!!!

i'm not bullshitting, i come from a family of musicians and we don't fool around with our equipment.

well, for the last two weeks or so i've noticed that after i tuned the guitar perfectly, it would still sound out of tune when i would play an E major or even a G major chord! today, i finally realized that it might be the neck. so, i took my aiming eye and looked down the fret board and lo' and behold, the neck is warped!!!

i've never fucked around with the trus-rod... and i'm not about to take my baby to someone that will charge me money that i can spend on strings (elixir's).... either way, does anyone know the correct way on how to adjust the tention on the trus-rod?

You'll need to bring it in to a professional if the warp is from side to side. If it is just over-bowed, that article will help.

You would honestly break up with your girlfriend over a freakin Ibanez?

you don't understand, this ibanez is my baby... and fuck! why should my girlfriend get jelous when i play the guitar when my guitar doesn't get jelous that i play with my girlfriend.

girls cum and go, music will always be there
my guitar will always be there, provided i take good care of my baby
my girl has no right to be jelous of my guitar!

BE SURE TO ALLOW TIME FOR YOUR ADJUSTMENTS TO TAKE EFFECT BEFORE YOU WRENCH ON IT AGAIN.

When I tried to fix my first fender the neck was so bowed I took down an 8 point buck with it that following deer season.

No joke!!!

don't fucking give me questions i don't have answers for... the girl, she has boobs... but the guitar shuts the fuck up when i want it to!

If the guitar means that much to you, I`m sure you've kept an eye on it since you got it. It appears that it has been subjected to some physical event, or atmospheric abnormality for it to suddenly reflect a change in the structure of the neck. I`d take it to the Dr.

the only change that the guitar has gone through is that i've moved from tx to wv... that might (and i do stress might) have something to do with it, i'm not sure

1)DON'T PANIC IT'S NO BIGGIE
2)TAKE IT SOMEWHERE AND GET IT HEATPRESSED!!!
I'VE DONE THIS AND IT SAVED MY GUITAR IT DOESN'T MESS IT UP AT ALL. AND IT COST LIKE $60

No kidding. It's just an Ibanez.

listen fun boy, you might think you're being cute, but the ibanez is my baby, and if you think that i'll just let you get away with calling it "just an Ibanez", then you got another thing coming

i don't know what you have coming to you, but just watch you back!

If you went from two extreme climates like cold/dry to warm/humid that could definately cause some problems. Humidity is the big factor.

Oooooooo.....

*shakes in his boots*

I love Ibanez. But when I say that I am meaning I love the Ibanex necks and the ways they squeal. So I guess what I mean is I love Ibanez electrics. I have yet to play one of their acoustics that moves me.

You can tweak a neck back to par with slow rotations of the truss. Or take it to the shop. Odds are for under $100 you are in. Otherwise buy a new one. it is after all just an Ibanez.
