Just bought a Roland GR-20 with the pickup, was going to install it on a powerhouse strat, but it seems the pickup is already to high adjusted all the way down. Could be a thicker pickguard on this model strat.

But considerint just picking up somehting cheaper that was decent enought just to insatll the roland on.

Anyone with any experience installing these pickups. Thought I could do it maysef but having second thoughts now

Any advice is appreciated

I have my GK-2A installed on a Yamaha Pacifica PAC012 (Strat copy).

Fits perfect and plays great and you can pick one up new for about $160.00

The Powerhouse Strat has the same pickguard as all the other ones. I've owned 3 of them.

I dunno, do you have to make a hole for it or is it supposed to stick on?

I installed mine on my yamaha accoustic (http://home.comcast.net/~bonrox/guitars/gr09.htm). I like the accoustic sound with the synth behind it. You may be able to pick up a roland ready strat off ebay for cheap.

Just a piece of advice, the pickup height is extremely critical if you want to get the proper levels. Take your time when setting it up. It will pay off in the end.
