my wife is a sweetie, she goes with a friend to what they call "yard sales" every saturday. ive got a room full of amps she didnt pay anymore than 10 bucks for. its amazing what great amps she finds for cheap.
then also i like to do some diy as i'm into electronics.
hers some examples of my amp shenanigans if you want a listen.
quite a few of these have had lots of plays in the thousands.
all good fun.

listen to the H lady song (note; parental guidance),woohoo
raise the flag, lets move it man and many others.
wish i'd never got rid of an old vibrational technology amp years ago (remember those ?).

Fender HRD

Hot Rod Deee-luxe. Too damn loud for its own good, but it sparkles on the clean channel and hits that just-getting-gritty tone on channel 2. I love it, but the volume is a hair trigger affair.

Mesa Rectoverb 50watt head - SMOKIN'!
2x12 closed back Rectifier cab
Musicman HD 2x12 ('74 I think) combo
Flextone II combo

Tweed Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
Peavey Ecoustic 112
Garnet Mohawk (5W tube amp, point-to-point, NOS 1961 Celestion 12" alnico speaker)..

I want to get a cabinet for the HRD, but don't know where to start

Marshall JCM 800
Bedrock 60
Peavey Classic 30
Ampeg...dam I can't remember model
Line6 Flextone 2
Mesa Twin V pedal

I really want a Old Bassman again or a reissue {'59}!

I've have a Vintage Legend Rock N' Roll 50 Series II head that is absolutely out of this word.
(Circled in the picture).

Can't find too much info on it these days, they are very unique and very rare around these parts.
Anyone else have one?

Rivera TBR2-SL into a boogie 4x12 and an old traynor "leslie"

This amp is the best music purchase I ever made. Since I have only been a studio player for the last 14 years, its been on way more records than I can count. Insanely flexible and tone to die for. The only thing it does not do really well is that over the top hi-gain sound that you can get from a Dual Recto or a 5150. Too bad Rivera no longer makes these amps. Another cool things about them is that at 160 watts a side it can make the walls shake and fill a club if you want it to, but it still has great tone and sustain at volumes low enough to talk over.

That's right... its hybrid tube/solid state...

Mines run trough 2 10" greenbacks. The only problem I've had is dirty pots on the Volume/gain, sometimes cuts out, but its not serious. I used it on a recording called "Life Twice..." in the mixing clinic.

Bedrock 60

Bedrocks are awesome. Shortly before I got into building amps, I had a tube epiphany when I heard a Bedrock 212 combo live. 100% rock.

Ya the Bedrock 60 is kinda like a Vox with a little more 'tude :)

1987 Laney anaversary 100 watt head
1983 Marshall jcm 800 100 watt with 6550s
1971 Ampeg V4
6 Marshall 4x12 cabs (different vintages)
1 Laney 4x12 cab with 75 watt celestions

My favorite amp is one I no longer own--a 60s vintage Alamo. It was a copy of the Fender Deluxe Reverb, 12-inch speaker, 22w RMS, tremolo, spring reverb. If only I'd known at the time what a treasure I had.
I had purchased it 30 years ago while I was in college from a friend who played keyboards and had a little jazz combo going. The guitar player had quit to pursue classical guitar studies and sold it to him and he was selling it to purchase an Aarpvark synthesizer. I paid $75 for the thing and read recently on a vintage guitar website that collectors were paying over $1000 for that particular model of Alamo.
*Sigh*
