Grundig KS-490U console repair

The power amp of the Grundig had 4 bad 50 ohm cathode bypass resistors. Values were way over 50 ohms. 2 bypass 100uf capacitors were leaky. All tubes checked ok. Both electrolytics replaced. Looking for Grundig tape recorder to fill blank spot in console. Purchased Grundig model TK-46 but need to find out if this model can be installed into the KS-490U. Any help would be appreciated.

How do you mean "can be installed" ? Only physical size would stop it, the electronics can surely be made to work.

I used to work on Grundig TRs and a few radios and grams, biggest failures were black "Wima" caps and high value >100k resistors.

Can you do an RF alignment on a superhet receiver?
