Group Buy Recommendation for VO

Hi,

I'm a narrator with a fairly heavy voice.

Condensors: the 1200 or the 6802?

Ribbons: which one has the best articulation (least mush)?

Any guidance greatfully received.

The 1200 is a new mic. Nobody has experience with it. Ditto for all the new powered ribbons. It's hard to really answer your questions conclusively....

I don't think one of the group buy ribbons would be the best choice for 'articulate'. At least compared to the condensers. I have a 6802t, and I think it would be appropriate. There are samples of Harvey Gerst speaking into a few of the group buy mics somewhere around here. Maybe someone would be so kind as to post a link.
