Everything is now on its way. Hmm, what could I do with 1000 mic pres? 1000 simultaneous tracks? LOL

Well, Mahler's 8th Symphony for 8 soloists, oversize orchestra, organ, offstage brass and multiple choruses, is called "The Symphony of a Thousand." You could put everybody on their own mic.

But the mixdown would be a bitch.

I spoke briefly with Rany yesterday. He has been commuting between North Carolina and Georga and hardly has time to do his duties around the house. Things are getting better, and we should see him back soon, Previously, Randy was working at home and was always on line and had the luxury of checking in here often.

So is he working now?

It was unclear if there was an illness going on or some other family issues.

We were just doing some dry run tests on the shipping process. I noticed that some of your shipping info is incomplete. Please log in to your user console, check and update (if needed) your shipping info. Everything is automated and the gear will be shipped to whatever destination you entered. This over rides any E-mail corrections you might have sent me. When the gear arrives, I don't want any surprises when we start shipping.

Chance, for those who are picking their gear up "in person", what is the best way to designate that in our shipping information?

I think my shipping info is complete & correct, but I'm trying to log in and verify. When I enter my credentials and hit the login button, the same login screen just refreshes--it doesn't log me in.

It's not that I'm using the wrong password--when I do that (on purpose) I get the "wrong login info" message in red. But the right credentials just reset the page and go nowhere.

Anyone else having this problem?

Never mind.

I arrived there by the link on Chance's site--which left me at "http://..." instead of "https://..." the secure address. When I manually changed the address to https and then logged in, it worked.

As you were... :D

Good question as many are picking up. I guess in the shipping info just put "pick up or will call"

I noticed that a long time ago and PM'd Randy and no one ever changed it.

The link on Chance's website DOES NOT WORK! Even though it looks like it works, it does not because of URL masking.

Use this link: https://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/UserConsole/

yea right....we are gonna use YOUR link.....looks like someones doing a bit of phishing to me....you are gonna get us to log in, steal our usernames and passwords and change everyones shipping info to your own and get all of our gear.....

thats not gonna work with me buddy.....

thanks for the link by the way....I got tired of looking for it.....

Thanks for the link. I thought I had my info in the system but I guess not. It is now!

The link from Chance's page works fine for me in Safari. When I click the user console button, it takes me to a login page on the https site just like it always has.... What browser are you using?

Chance, any chance you could do an export of the addresses and process them each through http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp, then post a list of folks whose addresses don't check out as valid?

Helpful tip: USPS.gov sites typically accept GET and POST even though the forms are usually POST. For example:

Apple's addres

Also note that the address lines are backwards. The value for address2 is the first address line and the value for address1 is the second address line. :D

Internet explorer, and Fire Fox.

When you follow the link from Chance's website it does NOT have the HTTPS. It is just HTTP. Actually the link on Chance's website is completely masked my Chance's web address.

[edit] On one of my computers Fire Fox works, even though the url is masked.

:D

Can't we just be self responsible enough to verify our own address is correct? Why put more work on Chance? Maybe we could get him to come to our studios, unbox the items, and install in our racks if necessary too? :(

True, but it may be less work in the end if he verified them prior to shipping, rather than shipping to the wrong address.

If you modify the page at:
http:// web.mac.com/chancepataki/iWeb/Site/GROUP BUY REGISTRATION.html

to change this part:

<div class="graphic_textbox_layout_style_default">
<div class="paragraph Free_Form" style="line-height: 17px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0pt; padding-top: 0pt; "><a href="http://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/" title="http://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/" style="font-family: 'Verdana', 'sans-serif'; font-size: 13px; line-height: 16px; opacity: 1.00; ">http://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/</a></div>
</div>

to be:

<div class="graphic_textbox_layout_style_default">
<div class="paragraph Free_Form" style="line-height: 17px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0pt; padding-top: 0pt; "><a href="https://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/" title="https://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/" style="font-family: 'Verdana', 'sans-serif'; font-size: 13px; line-height: 16px; opacity: 1.00; " TARGET="_top">https://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/</a></div>
</div>

that should do it

edit: that's assuming you were asking for help with the website :D -- as for the mailing addresses, I'm sure one of us would volunteer to run the addresses through a validator, but we'd need to get the list somehow, of course (and whoever did it would need to be trusty-ish enough to be trusted with the list, but I'm sure that's not too big of a deal). Seems to me that the bigger problem is when people have moved since they put in the shipping address originally, and mere validation won't catch that problem -- there's no substitute for folks logging in and providing the new address, in these cases.

What I don't understand is why you aren't getting https as soon as you click the button that says User Console. That button does this:

function GoToUserConsole()
{
window.location.href="https://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/UserConsole";
return;
}

It can't be taking you anywhere other than the HTTPS login page.... So if there's something not working, it's either an artifact of the address masking (browser bug, in all likelihood) or something else unrelated to the http/https issue....

Are you seeing any errors/warnings in your JavaScript console when this doesn't work? It would really be better to find and fix the real problem rather than just masking it, and Chance changing the link on his site would just be masking the problem, IMHO.
