None here, either, and I've gotten them in the past. Also, the News section of the User Console hasn't reflected a new mailing--am I right in thinking that it will show up there at some point?
 
but I think we'll all agree that the system is exelent! whether we got that latest email or not :)

I didn't get it either, for what that's worth.

I'm gonna guess that if you ordered two ACM-3 ribbon mics, the breakdown would be close to this:
$XXX each mic
$XXX paypal
$XXX shipping
total cost for two ribbon mics = $XXX

That's a guess, but it can't be far from the actual numbers.

...but the prices can't be seen until you register. BTW, registering doesn't lock you into anything and doesn't cost anything. Something to be aware of is this: this is a process and it's not going to happen in a few weeks. We could be looking at 6 months before delivery.

You should go back and edit the prices out of your post before the forum won't allow you to edit it.

Send him a PM if you really want to talk about it.

Naw, I haven't made any updates to the portion of the system since the last mass email went out...

I will log in and send a TEST one out and see if I get any errors though...

I can see the poll results, though I can't see a way of voting...this may be due to not looking hard enough however

If you have a popup blocker running you'll have to turn it off... The "vote box" comes up in a popup window...

I've tried sending several email from the system, and although there are no errors, the emails ARE NOT BEING SENT. Not sure what the cause behind this is...still looking...

After reading Chris Long's post above, it made me think of something that I wanted to run by you all for your opinion:

The reason that Chance used email for his group buy communications was that, that was the only form of correspondence that he has with all of the participants... That being said, what if we dropped MASS EMAILS all together and went strictly by communicating via the User Console...as our single point of correspondence?? The way it operates now, is that when Chance sends out a mass email, it gets published to the User Console for your viewing anyways... (This portion by the way IS working, just not sending the mail)

In short, what if when Chance sent out a "message to all participants" it just posted it in the User Console for all to read??? This way we'd never have any of the problems of who received what and when...etc. AND should Chance ever need to send a specific email to a specific participant, the system does that...and it works... Really, at this point I'm not understanding why we are still using emails for "mass information" when there is a common website for this to be displayed on...

Give me your feedback... I'm hungry for a solution to this!

Sounds good, as long as I get an email or phone call or something to let me know to check the Console.
 
This is good. Chance would be able to post in this forum when there is updated information on our log-in page. Very simple and easy for us all to log-in and read the updates.

Hey Randy,

What if you put the message like you mentioned on the user console and then made a post here to say "hello, I've just added a message to the user console". I get an email when any post is added to this thread so I don't know why that wouldn't work.

I agree that a mass email is a bit much to deal with.

Just a thought.

Yeah, this mass email stuff can be a bear from time to time... Most of the problems come from shortcomings in the mailservers themselves...mainly "anti-spam" software...

For some reason, the 2 test emails that I sent from the SYSTEM, just got sent out by the server... after about an hour delay... Go figure... Days like this make me want to kick Bill Gates right square in the teeth! :mad:

Really, I don't have anything personal against mass emails... If that's what Chance wants, that's what I'll provide... It's just my nature to constantly be looking for a better way to do stuff.. and when I encounter problems regularly, such as with these emails, it makes me look harder!
