I think it's important to continue sending e-mails. I don't want to have to keep checking the user console or this thread just to make sure I don't miss some important announcement. This will especially be the case months from now twiddling our thumbs waiting for the goods to arrive from China.

FYI we are NOT supposed to talk about specific prices publicly.
You should go back and edit the prices out of your post before the forum won't allow you to edit it.

Send him a PM if you really want to talk about it.

I didn't know...sorry all. I x-ed out the prices on my post.

I'm 100% sure that the emails as we've come to know will continue... I was just mad when I got on my soapbox earlier.

It just makes me mad when something don't work as it should... If it gives an error, I can deal with that... but when the mails just sit in queue for over an hour...then for some explained reason the server decides to send them, that bothers me... OR if I had been making updates to the system and "maybe" could have caused it myself through one of those, I'd also understand...but for something to just quit working without cause, reason or explaination, then start working again on it's own, I have great problems with that...

For those same reasons, I won't ever own another Ford truck nor a Mercury outboard... ;)

So......black is not going to be on the unofficial face plate color wish poll?

:D

ACM-200 info

FYI Randy, got the 2 test email.:)

Chance,

I know the ACM-200 comes only with a bag. Do you know what type of cable and shock mount would work with it?

Thanks,

Earl

I got them both as well, Randy.

:D

Hey, my post count is almost up to 50! Do I get a gold star now? lol

Mass Email Working Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after a while reading through my MSDN library, I found a small entry in there describing the problem that we were experiencing a while ago with the mass emails "getting hung in queue" on the server... MS is aware of this problem and went on to say they didn't know the exact cause, but that...and get this: IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ON ALL SERVER VERSIONS, ALL THE TIME AND MAY START OCCURING ON SERVERS THAT HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED, WITHOUT WARNING!

At any rate, they gave a work-around, I applied it, along with some formatting changes that I'd been wanting to include, and I sent 2 test emails without flaw...

Like I said before; Days like this make me want to kick Bill Gates square in the teeth! When a software company releases an operating system "PATCH" and the filesize of the patch is almost as large as the original release of the OS it's patching... you know you're in trouble!

Off my soapbox now... return to your regularly scheduled program...

Way to go on getting to the bottom of the issue. Glad you're a part of the group buy.

It was the ie popup blocker stopping the poll appearing btw

quick question...

The number of orders for the 1200 tube mic seem to be nearing 200 as well...is there a volume discount that might occur for that item as well (vis-a-vis the preamp price discussion)? If so, I might be able to increase my overall buy yet again.

Cheers,
Jay

Good question. I'm already down for a couple of the 1200s but if there was a break for hitting 200, I'd probably grab at least one more, maybe two.

I just got up and found many test E-mails. I didn't get the one I sent out yesterday. I think Randy's idea of just posting on the registration page will work, but many people need some kind of reminder, notification. As soon as I get these last bits of info from China, such as turnaround time etc, things will go fast and ordering will be closed. I'll try another mass-mail this afternoon after todays mix session.

Something I forgot. Again there were about 10 delivery failure notices I got with the tests that Randy sent out. Perhaps spam blockers?

Nah, I was mad when I posted that about quitting the mass emails..:p

They're working now fine...and maybe they'll continue to... Yeah, I was thinking after I discovered the problem in MSDN last night: "I bet Chance will have hundreds of mass emails...and will be on his way out here to slap me!"... That was one of the symptoms, when they sit in queue for so long, they GET SENT TO THE SENDER INSTEAD OF THE "TO" RECIPIENT... After reading that, I kinda smiled and said, "Chance has about 600 emails on his hands right now!"

If you have time before you start your session, give me a call...

I cringe at the memories of having to use MSDN

Dude go LAMP and live happily ever after. Then learn Python and Zope and laugh at the puny mortals as they write their silly login scripts and manage users manually with relational databases. Object Databses and component architecture = absolute power...

I write inner-office software for startup companies and offices. and I would go another route, but 99% of the companies that I work for are MS shops...so that's what's required... And I have several certs from MS that helps me land jobs... It's just a tangled web that I've weaved!...but it pays good! :D

Chance, how much warning will we have on the cutoff date for changing our orders? I would possibly like to add a couple of things but I wont know how the funds are going to hold up for a few more days and dont want to miss the cut off...

Blueflame studio is one of the failed deliverys on the mass-mail test
