Someone listed an ACM-310 for megubux:
http://cgi.ebay.com/TNC-ACM-310-Con...ZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem
While reviewing my tentative order, I noticed that some mics mentioned shock mounts are included for ACM-310, ACM-6801T/6802T, ACM-900, but not for ACM-1200, ACM-70. ACM-3 comes with a holder.
Will shockmounts be available for the all mics in the GB?
i'm wondering about this also..... (especially regarding the 1200)
I am still waiting for more specs and just got an auto reply from an E-mail saying they will be back from the trade show in Frankfort on the 25th
THIS GUY IMO sounds like a really really bad sales man.
1) There's no "retail" price on these things, if he's grabbing the price off the MSRP of the mic they were trying to mimic, his credibility has drop from .5 to 0.
2) claiming "brand new", and that he "use them everyday"... I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he has extras, he listed 3 of them on there (same mic), and from the last GB, I'm not sure if there's that many people that purchase more the 3 mic of the same kind... But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
3) The sound is "world class"...... from the way he write up his auction, I'm not sure if I should trust him.
One thing is for sure, he's quite funny.
Hmm just had a look on the "Pearl Microphones" site and didn't see anything along the lines of a 1200...
Where'd you find that info?
Thanks
Gareth
The Swedes have measured a 1200 type mic
-I hope I´m not violeting any rules

Look--I'm a gear addict--so I'm not getting rid of anything, even if I don't use it a lot. I'll keep if it looks cool (dumb, I know. But at least I admit I have a problem!)

I don't have a 2, but I have a couple 3s... and I would say YES you will be happier with one of the ACM's. Chance seems to prefer the 2 to the 3 for guitar... and I love what I'm getting out of the 3. Good tones coming easy... a bit off center, a couple inches off the cab... zero EQ. It sounds mch more "natural" than an of the condensers I'ver used... all of which had more clarity and depth than 57''s i've tried.
But... just my opinion. Worth trying one or even two for the price.
As we approach the cut off date, will prices change in relation to order numbers? I'm currently in for several preamps and have ordered primarily the 84s as the extended high shelf is valuable to me but I'd be more than happy to swap them for the 73s if there will be a price differential.
How much movement will there be in that regard?
Many thanks,
Eric
The price point for the pres is 100 units of any/or all of them. Chance renegotiated the deal a while back. Info was in the latest email.I would assume (anyone correct me if I'm wrong) based on the pricing e-mail that we will get the lower price on the 73 if it hits the 200 mark (seems likely to go that high) regardless of if the 81 and 84 hit the 100 mark. There's always the possibility people will flake when it's time to pay up so I don't know how Chance to garuntee the price point (or maybe I'm wrong... hope I'm wrong).
As for the ACM-2/3 the 3 can be positioned in tighter quarters than the 2, Also they do sound a little different.
As for the E bay thing, You guys are forgetting something I thought I mentioned before. The GB prices are for forum members only. That Ebay guy got a lot of mics and is sold out of most of them. Some might remember that some mics from the first GB, that we got for $95.00 were sold under a major brand name for $1500.00.

I think the 100 units is for all three (that is, all three models need a minimum of 100 orders each to meet the requirement.) So if the order is for 180 of one, 90 of another, and 80 of the third, the order would not meet the minimum requirement for the low price point on any of the models. The price point for the pres is 100 units of any/or all of them.
