For me, mainly the ACM-6802T.
All the ribbons are probably wired like any other ribbon, so no need for them.

And if you got time, or anyone else is interested, the ACM-583 and ACM-580 L.

If someone could PM me as well. I've come up with a few mics but I know these are not $1500. I also looked for inexpensive 9 position tube mics and the one that came up looks nothing like the 6802T.

I'm putting my order in for ACM-3, ACM-1, 310, & the 6802T. I wouldn't mind knowing what they're Copies of, I'd really appreciate a PM.

Also I read post #741 about Shockmounts.
Will the shock mount that comes w/ the 310 work for the acm-3?
On his products page it only lists Shock mounts w/ certain Mic, No solo SM?
If I want a SM for the ACM-1 and ACM-3 which should I order OR will the ones that come w/ the Tube mics work?

I just read all the way from page 22... I like the idea of another group buy for Pres and Comps.

Also found these interesting mics (check out the ribbons)

Would ribbons like the ACM-3 make good overheads for a 3 mic drum kit? ...Or do you think it would sound too mid-rangey on cymbals?

Booda. You should not be linking directly to other manufacturers in this thread.
This is exactly what killed the last groub buy.

This is correct. You will never see Telefunken stating that their M-16 mic is the same as the Nady Alctron HST-11 (with only a few mods) LOL
 
I posted that in jest in spite of it being true and widely known. These mics are in no way associated with those mics. These are branded "TnC" and have "ACM" as the model numbers. They are not copies or clones.

I sent in my order via the "Send an email to Chance" link in the menu that pops up when you click on your name...is that sufficient? Stupid question maybe, but after I did it I worried that I should have sent it using the address in your signature....but I didn't want to send it again and mess things up even more--or get twice as manner mics!

Will an email sent through the link in the "name menu" go to the address [musicians.workshop@gte.net] that's in your signature?

Sorry to add to the confusion--just don't want to mess it up. :)

I think that Chance mentioned earlier that he would send us all a bill from PayPal. We should wait for that before making payment.

That is correct. This evening I have the big job of adding up who wants what then making a total count. This might take a while so be paitient. There is a lot more than I anticipated. Once I do the math, using your E-dress, Pay Pal will send you a "request for money". Once all funds are collected, the funds will be transfered to the bank of china. Then the shipping process will start.
 
I sent you an email, but sent the email from a different address from my PayPal address. Is that going to be too confusing? Should I send you a clarifying email from my PayPal address?

Like I posted a long time ago; The E-dress you sent your order from is the E-dress Pay Pal will use to automatically generate your request for payment. I went thru different E-dresses last time and it took too much time to sort things out. If the E-dress is good, I see no problem in your recieving payment requests
 
Apology to the Group

I just want to say I am sorry for the links I posted. I in no way would have wanted to hurt this Group buy. The links I posted were Not to a Manufactures web site. It was a link to a Small Web based business that sells 3 No name ribbon mics, 2 tube mics... and a handful of cables and connectors. Very much like what a few people on this bbs are doing. The Ribbon mics look Identical to the ribbons being sold in this GB. I was going to Post to you all, that if you were interested in seeing them, to PM me. I thought it was Very appropriate Info so I made the Mistake of posting the links. I am sorry, especially to Chance.

No one needs to remark on this. You already stripped my 5 years of rep points from my 1 post. While others have mentioned Larger Co. "Brand Names"... I do understand that my links to a No name Cheap mic was inappropriate.
