Well...these bars were part of a Spanish Group Buy to a Chineese (of course) manufacturer. They came along with a stereo set of ribbons (similar to the ACM2 ;) ) and the price was loooow.

*Edit: I must say the Group Buy is still running, so these mics where demo units.

yeah, that looks just like the bar i got with my fatheads (prior to hearing about the GB).

cascades selling the stand alone for $99, which sounds like a total rip off to me. i got mine as part of the package with the FH's, so it was a better price then that, but still seemed kind of steep.

if these were offered in a future group buy (depending on price) i'd get one for sure as they're handy to have and have worked out quite well.

That´s something i haven´t talked about with the manufacturer but my guess is that it wouldn´t be a problem.

Can you PM the details to get in on this group buy..? Of course, after you find out if I could just purchase the mic bar... I'd really like to have one of those! :)

My email is ericcrudup @ msn dot com I bought the ACM-3, I think it was. The ribbon mic that looked similar to a royer 121.

My Paypal account is suspended because a scammer hacked into it and tried to do a bunch of huge money transfers, that could be why I didn't get an email, or maybe it went to my junk folder?

Either way, I don't know how I would pay the shipping cause my paypal account is dead, unless I could mail you cash?

I paid on Friday and got conformation and all, but when I checked my bank account just now, Im still seeing the money sitting there.....am I good to go on my mics and pre's???

Randy - maybe you can talk Chance into putting in an order for 10 or 20 with the GB order. I KNOW that they would be gone in a heartbeat. You can sign me up for one or actually....make that two.

Nice! I just received one today and I can't wait to try it out on drum OH's! I'm not sure why, but I'm actually very impressed with the build quality. Better than I expected. Nice to get a good surprise once in a while!!! :D

If the price is right, a stereo bar would be a welcome addition.

Mine is not from Cascade, but i also like the build quality, much more than the Alctron stuff.

Re the Alctron site....does anyone have prices for their gear? None listed, not even after adding to shopping "car". Also, does anyone have any info on their power amps? Looking to buy an amp to power my NS10s.
 
Hey Aus, well here's the thing - most recommendations for NS10s vary pretty greatly. I've seen a lot of people say Yamaha (eg P2100), Hafler, Bryston, etc but it never gets into specifics about power.

What have you got brother?
 
For NS10's 200 watts a side is good. The yamaha amps always sound good with them. I've used Haflers, they're OK. My favorite was Pacific Innovative mono blocks, but they are rarer than hens teeth, and mucho expensivo!! :D
 
Qik,

Joe Malone (JLM) has 60 watt amp modules that are apparewntly "the duck's guts", they are cheap, two can be bridged for 120 watts, etc., etc.,......all you need is a very basic power supply and you've got yourself a good amp. Have a look at his site and forum as there's been a bit of a discussion there in the past.
