yeah, that's what i got too. sounds like randy's working on it.

Guys, it seems to be back up and working again...

Sorry about all of these XML Parser errors, but I have no control over them... It's server errors, not something in the code...and it seems that the web host don't think it's a big deal and make no effort for a long term fix for this problem...

Thanks,

Randy

I PM'd Chance about this but I will ask to see if anyone else has had similar problems since getting the refund from Paypal....My order came to around $900. Paypal refunded my money to my paypal account but it seems that I have a limit ($500/month) to how much I can transfer to my bank account. Since the money came out of my bank acct. to pay the first time, why cant I just transfer the full ammount back to my bank acct.? Since I can only transfer $500, I may have to reduce my order....anyone have any advice?

Charge your order on credit card until you get your cash back from PayPal. Then use that to pay your credit card (They did the same thing to me).

Yeah. Have PayPal send you a check. It's usually much cheaper than what most banks charge for a direct deposit anyway.

Something else, but I know that it's too late now, but if you do that "confirmed address" thing with PayPal, you can transfer more than $500.00 at one time...

LOL! Great minds must think alike! I was just viewing the traffic coming through the payment gateway to make sure it was working, and saw your payment come through and sent a PM to you telling you that it had made it fine...

Whew... let's just hope it keeps it up for a while longer without those darned XML Parser errors...

Please excuse my ignorance - I know that the price include shipping/duty/tax to LA. I'm from Canada so Chance will forward the packages, and I'll be invoiced the shipping later from LA to Canada?

Yep, that's about the size of it.

Randy,

I think I found out why my credit card payment got declined...seems my card issuer thought that the amount of my order was "out of character" with my credit card usage history so they froze my account. They called me to let me know there was a potential fraudlent charge for electronic goods. I told them that I am ok with the charge to they unfroze my account. Now I can't login to the user console. I enter my email address and password. The screen blinks and I'm still sitting at the user console logon with blank fields for the email address and password.

I even requested my password from the user console and it's the same password I'm trying to logon with.

I really don't want to miss out on this GB so I'm anxious to get my payment in.

I'll keep trying tonight, from 8:30pm HST until I call it a night at about midnight. If I'm unsuccessful, I'll try again tomorrow morning.

Thanks.

Yes - that is correct.

My experience with duty and taxes into Canada from the US is that when I used USPS I never had to pay any, weather it was a gift or not. UPS and Fedex ground I had to pay brokerage fees, duty and 2 taxes. Very expensive.
Me likey USPS.
In my case I ordered 14 mics and 6 pres so for USPS it might have to be split into 2 or 3 boxes perhaps.

I agree.

UPS - WORST!!!
FEDEX - dunno...
USPS - NICE!!!

If possible please try to use USPS :)

About NAFTA, the cross-border tax-free thing, I think it only applies to certain types of good and they has to be "made in usa" or "product of usa" to be exempted, in which we all well know that's very unlikely for electronics these days.

Thanks!!!!

I just paid up and everything is working A-OK! I received the confirmation e-mail, too, so it seems that now things are working fine!

Thank you, Randy and Chance!

It's a memory leak within IIS...or an application running in conjunction with IIS on the server... The short term-quick fix remedial measure is to re-start IIS and clear up the memory...
A man of your skills should be cold-LAMPn' (or java-web-server-'n) :D I've had issue after issue with MS xml parsers regardless of whether they're on the server or the browser. Anyway, thanks once again!!

I'm all paid up, no errors... now I just gotta try and forget about this for a few months

One more piece of advice. Get rid of Paypal! LOL Isn't it interesting that they will keep your money (and the interest) for a month? Quite the racket, if you ask me.

I don't know how USPS is overseas but right now they've lost a package I sent to Alaska. It made it from Florida to Washington and then disappeared. I've never had any problems with UPS.

Use the PayPal Plugin. It creates a virtual debit card that acts like a credit card.

But you'd have to give them you bank account information. I've read the horror stories and that's never gonna happen!

Anyway....back to the group buy!

International, it has more to do with brokerage fees and customs clearance than actual delivery. All the carriers are capable of losing packages!

USPS domestic delivery for me is better than 99.9%, I think I am close to 2,000 shipments :) For that last 0.1%, there's insurance.

He's already got a PayPal account.

Not all PayPal users have horror stories. In fact, all the positive stories would bore you to tears.
